Operation "Thai '05" is Official

Ken and I bought our tickets to Thailand yesterday! We're flying from LAX to Bangkok in early May. Our 20-some hour flight takes us through Taipei. It's going to be crazy cooped up on a plane for that long! We'll arrive in Bangkok, possibly spend a day, and then head for Phuket. After a day in Phuket, we'll hop a ferry to Phi Phi Island where we plan to do Tsunami clean-up and rebuilding volunteer work. The islanders are most in need of money, so we also plan to spend some time vacationing and spending. We hope to meet some amazing people and have some incredible experiences. This is a first trip to SE Asia for both of us.

Hmm what else? Our arms are still sore from multiple immunization shots the other day. We've also got live typhoid in our refrigerator! - oral immunization. Oh yeah, while we were geeked up in mid-reservation excitement, we decided to do a one-day stopover in Taipei on the way home. Should be super cool.

We need to buy a few things and do some final planning, but that's about it. We're off to foreign lands in about three weeks.
